Obituary of Kirk Scott
Scott, Kirk Douglas
Passed away peacefully after a sudden illness on January 21, 2016 at the age of 65 years.
Treasured husband of Patricia, loving father to Lisa (Matt) Scott-Walsh and Martha Scott, proud Papa to Violet and Sidney Douglas Walsh. Kirk is survived by his three sisters Janice (Ron) Skinner, Donna Montague, Kim (Tom) Bryan and his brother Robin Scott and sister-in-law Diane Scott. Kirk will be remembered as a special nephew to Donna & Dyke Garratt. Also survived by his sisters-in-law Linda (Bob) Botka, Barbara Geisel, and brothers-in-law Paul Geisel, Peter (Linda) Geisel as well as many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents Ted and Joan Scott, brothers Gary Scott and Steven Scott, sister-in-law Barbara Scott, and brothers-in-law Daniel Geisel and John Geisel.
Kirk was a life-long resident of Kitchener/Waterloo, growing up in Bridgeport. Kirk enjoyed his time on the beach as well as his time on the golf course with his buddies, but he could always be found at the dinner table with his family on Sunday evening. Kirk dedicated much of his time to the Kitchener Rangers serving on the board of directors. He was Vice President and General Manager of Forbes Waterloo Toyota and was a member of the Waterloo Club. Kirk was a friend and mentor to many and will be missed by all who knew him.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Kirk with his family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Monday, January 25, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at Waterloo Pentecostal Assembly, 395 King St. N, Waterloo on Tuesday, January 26 at 11:00 am. A reception will follow at the church. Cremation and a private family interment will take place at a later date.
