Obituary of Ruth Hamilton
Passed away peacefully at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, Kitchener on Wednesday March 3, 2016 , 95 years of age.
Beloved wife of the late Gordon Hamilton. Loving mother of Graham and his wife Judi and Gloria and her husband Jim Hett. Cherished grandmother of Jonathan and his wife Pam Hamilton, Amanda Guldemond and her husband Fabian Wilches, Bradley Guldemond and Katrina Guldemond; great-grandmother of Andie, Casey and Penny Hamilton. Ruth will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents Hiram and Ethel Whitney; brothers Raymond, Burton, William, Earl, Edward, Gordon and sister Ruby Sheppard.
Ruth was a longtime member of First Baptist Church, Waterloo. She was very active with the Super 60's Seniors Group and resided for over 30 years at Woodland Terrace Seniors Apartments. Here, many strong relationships were created and cherished.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Ruth with her family during a memorial visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Saturday, March 12, 2016 from 10 to 10:45 a.m. with a memorial service in the chapel at 11 a.m., Pastor Robert Snell officiating. A reception will follow the service in the Fireside Reception Room. A spring interment will take place at Mt. Royal Cemetery, Montreal where she will be reunited with Gordon.
