Obituary of Ruth Gentle

Ruth passed away suddenly but peacefully with family at her side, at Barnswallow Place in Elmira on Sunday, May 8, 2016 at the age of 91. Ruth is survived by her son Greg Gentle and his wife Lia, daughter Heather Ogram and her husband Brian. Grandmother of Bradley, Wade and Erica. Ruth is also remembered by Avon Brophy as she had played an influential role in Avon's life. Predeceased by her infant son Wade, infant daughter Valerie, husband Derek William Gentle in 1988, brothers Willis and Clare, and sisters Reta Bechtel and Clarene Martin. Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Thursday, May 12 from 7-9 p.m. and on Friday, May 13 from 12 - 12:45 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Friday at 1 p.m., with Rev. Das Sydney of Highland Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens, Breslau and a reception will be held afterwards in the funeral home's Fireside Room.
