Obituary of Veronika Wenk

Passed away at the K-W Campus of Grand River Hospital on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at the age of 74. Veronika was predeceased by her beloved husband Manfred on July 7, 2014. Cherished Mother of Rhona Hyde and husband Reg and Christine Derry and husband Brett. Loving Oma to Brianna (Charles), Robert, Matthew, and Sarah. Dearest sister of Gisela Stobbe and Tante Veronika to the family. Predeceased by her son, Robert in 1967; parents, Erna and Paul Hentschel; and brother-in-law, Henry Stobbe. Veronika worked in Food Preparation at the Waterloo Inn for 30 years where she was known as "Mom". Veronika's family will receive relatives and friends at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Thursday, August 4 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, August 5, 2016 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Olaf Poulsen officiating. Immediately following the service, relatives and friends are invited to a reception in the funeral home's Fireside Room. Interment will follow at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Erbsville.
