Obituary of Mary Ann Paolini
Passed away at Westhill Retirement Home on September 2, 2016, at the age of 86.
Loving mother of the MacDonald's: John (Cindy), Steve (Karen), Robin, Joe (Nancy) and Jim.
Mary Ann is predeceased by her husbands Ian MacDonald and Bert Paolini, parents Leo and Bertha (nee Hartman), her brothers Cletus (Betty) Kroetsch, Father Jerome Kroetsch of the Congregation of the Resurrection, sisters Sister Gertrude, Sister Bernice of the School Sisters of Notre Dame, and Agnes (Carl) Voll. She is survived by Albert (Edna) and Sister Sharon of the School Sisters of Notre Dame, and by many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mary Ann was born in Waterloo on May 21, 1930 and attended St. Louis school. After Ian's death in 1957 she raised her family as a widow in Fergus Ontario until returning to Waterloo in 1965. In 1973 Mary Ann married her kindred spirit, Bert Paolini.
Her ever expanding family, the Catholic Church, charitable support, her bridge friends, knitting, and her new friends at the Westhill Retirement home were mom's life and passion.
Friends are invited to share memories of Mary Ann with her family during a service at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Tuesday September 6, at 11 AM. A reception will be held after the chapel service, at the funeral home.
