Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 9, 2009, at Sunnyside Home, Kitchener.
Cherished wife of the late Robert D. Simpson (2004).
Loving mother of James and his wife Janice; grandfather of William Hartung, John Hartung, Kimberly (Grantley) Creese, and Kate (Trent) Webber; great-grandmother of Max and Quentin Jean will be sadly missed by her brothers Bruce (Mabel) Merkley and Keith (Ruth) Merkley; sisters Ruth (Wes) Purvis and Doris (Don) Tessmer; and son-in-law Richard (Marilyn) Hartung.
Predeceased by daughter; Donna Hartung (1996); and by her parents Leonard and Florence Merkley.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Jean with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, on Friday, September 11, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at 11 am in the chapel of the funeral home.
Cremation, followed by interment at Memory Gardens, Breslau, will take place at a later date.
