<h1>Clare Bechtel</h1> 1927 – 2006 After a lengthy battle with Parkinsons, Clare Bechtel passed away at Twin Oaks of Maryhill on September 1, 2006. Son of the late Moses and Albirda Bechtel. He was born in Waterloo Township on August 27, 1927, and farmed RR4, Kitchener which is now Trussler Road. Later he moved to Moncton, but had to give up farming due to his illness. Survived by his three sisters, Reta Bechtel of St. Jacobs, Ruth Gentle of Kitchener, and Clarene Martin of Waterloo; nieces Audrey Shaver, Donna Shaw, and Heather Ogram; and nephews, Darrel Martin and Greg Gentle. Predeceased by one brother, Willis and his wife Marilyn; brothers-in-law Howard Martin and Derek Gentle. Relatives and friends may visit at the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Tuesday, September 5, 2006 from 12-12:45 p.m., with the funeral service to follow in the chapel of the funeral home at 1 p.m., the Rev. Reynold Kipfer officiating. Immediately following the service, a reception will be held in the Historic Kunz House of the funeral home. Interment at Manheim Mennonite Cemetery.
