<h1>Keith "Sandy" Baird</h1> 1925 – 2007 Passed away at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital on Monday, September 3, 2007, at age 82. He was the Publisher of the Kitchener-Waterloo Record from 1975 until 1990 and a long-standing columnist. Beloved husband of the late Connie Hamel and father of the late Judith Yormak; dear grandfather of Ben Yormak and father-in-law of Steven Yormak; dear brother of the late Harry Baird. Survived by sister-in-law Beverly Sanders, sister-in-law Ann Baird, niece Sandra Jantzen and family, niece Deb Finlay and family, niece Pam Sanders and family, nephew Wayne Hamel and family, and nephew Scott Baird and family, Margaret Hamel. Predeceased by sisters-in-law Margaret Wellman, Betty Wick, Shirley Swartz and brothers-in-law Lorne Hamel, Louis Wick, Earl Sanders and Ken Swartz. Friends are invited to a memorial visitation at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 54 Queen St. N., Kitchener, on Sunday, September 9, 2007 from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. followed by a celebration of Sandy’s life and faith at 2 p.m. with Rev. Mark Lewis officiating. A reception will follow at the church. Interment in Parkview Cemetery at a later date.
