<h1>Walter Thomas</h1> 1928 – 2009 Walter passed away, peacefully, at his home on Sunday, September 27, 2009, in his 82nd year. Walter was predeceased by his wife, Barbara (nee Weaver) on June 16, 1989; his parents, Russell and Clara (Shantz) Thomas; brothers, Milton and Russell and two infant brothers, Edward and William; infant sister, Clara; brother-in-law, John Neilly; and sister-in-law, Elspeth (nee Gladstone). Survived by his children, David (Gerri), Heather (Terry), and Gary; grandson, Shawn (Jackie); and great-grandchildren, Maddison and Wesley. Also survived by brothers, Ken (Mary), Grant (Laura) and sisters, Lillian, Barbara (Eddie), and Marylou (Harry). Walter was a long-time service employee of J.M. Schneider. Relatives and friends are invited to share memories of Walter during visitation at the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Thursday, October 1 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, October 2, 2009 at 9:30 a.m., followed by interment at Memory Gardens, Breslau. Reception to follow in the funeral home’s Fireside Reception Room.
