Obituary of David Mitchell

<h1>David "Scotty" Mitchell</h1> 1926 - 2009 Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, at Freeport Health Centre on Friday, September 25, 2009 at the age 83. Scotty will be forever remembered by his loving wife Mary of 60 years, his daughters June (John) Sproule, Irene (Greg) Mitchell, grandchildren Jon (Kelly) Sproule, Jen (Jay) Lang, Julie (Mark) Calder and Kristen Mitchell and his beloved great-grandchildren Taylor, Ryan, Hailey, Amber and Duncan. Scotty was predeceased by his daughter Jean in 1956. Scotty worked as a custodian for the Waterloo Region District School Board for over 37 years. He enjoyed volunteering at Westvale School following his retirement and was involved with the Masonic Lodge for over 53 years. As per Scotty’s wishes, there will be no public visitation or service. Cremation has taken place. The family wishes to extend their thanks to Dr. Ward, Dr. Moolman, Dr. Keleher and the nurses from Union Terrace 3 of Freeport Health Centre for their exceptional care.
