Knew Steve only briefly, but he was one of those people who could have done anything in life. I knew about his battles and demons, and when I last saw him (about six months before his death) he looked so healthy and alive. Because of those demons, I did not become close to him, but genuinely thought he was going to be ok, and I was looking forward the a better Steve. For any parent, it must be the worst tragedy to bury one of their children. Even today, Steve still sticks in my mind because I think of what he could have done. Such a tragedy and waste at the same time.
