Obituary of Heinz Nitsche

Heinz Nitsche
1934-2008 Emigrated to Canada in 1964 with two in tow and one in stow. As a skilled tradesman, lover of sports and geographical genius, Pops gently raised his family of four together with his wife of 50 years. Pops had a magical connection to all living things, never neglecting a cheerful greeting to any pet or animal. His single and only pride was his children. He is sorrowfully missed by loving wife Elfriede; son Wolfgang, daughter-in-law Wendy, Christopher and Jason of Edmonton; daughter Gaby, son-in-law Gord, Aimee and David of Peterborough; son Eric, daughter-in-law Robin, Caitlin, Thomas and Alison of Charlotte N.C.; and son Tom, daughter-in-law Peggy, Sam and Max of Contestogo, extended family and friends. With passing comes the gift of memories, and Pops, you’ve given us lots. To commemorate his life, friends and family are invited to a casual memorial reception on Friday September 26, from 7 – 9 p.m. at Erb and Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St S., Waterloo. Condolences for the family and as expressions of sympathy donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association may be arranged through the funeral home, 519.745.8445 or www.erbgood.com. In living memory of Heinz, a donation will be made to the Trees for Learning Program by the funeral home.
