Passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 20, 2009 at Lanark Heights Long Term Care Centre, Kitchener.
Cherished wife of the late Harold James Edward Aldworth (1983)
Loving mother of David (Carole) of Waterloo, Douglas (Barbara) of Ottawa, and Brian (Tracey) of Waterloo. Beloved grandmother of Christopher (Alison), Randy (Laura), Lisa (Robert), Michael, Heather, and Jamie (Meghan). Beloved great grandmother of Rachel, Eleanor, Kiera and Caleb. Beloved sister of Irene Withers and Madeleine Lee, and aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her daughter Suzanne Lillian (1972), brothers Frederick and Jack, and sisters Violet and Dorothy.
Jean was a long serving member of the Waterloo Legion Ladies Auxiliary, attended dances and played shuffleboard well into her 80s, and was an inspiration to all who aspire to continue enjoying life until the end. A succession of Siamese cats kept her company at home. She summered at her cottage on Lake Huron, and lived vicariously through her sons.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Jean with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, on Saturday, November 7 from 2-4, followed by a service in the chapel of the funeral home a 4 p.m.
