<h1>Rita Reitzel</h1> 1936 - 2009 After a courageous battle with cancer, Rita passed away peacefully at home with family by her side on September 19, 2009 at the age of 73. Beloved wife of Leo for 52 years. Loving mother to Rick (Cheryl) Reitzel, Bonnie (Stephen) Gaudet, Butch (Cheryl) Reitzel, Linda (John) Schelter and Gwen (Dave) Gerencser. Forever cherished and remembered by her grandchildren, Amy, Matt, Laura (Bob) Eby, Stephanie, Scott, Sarah, Justin, Bryon, Melissa, Nick and Adam. Dear sister of Patrica (Harvey) Gutscher, Henrietta Feddema, Anna (John) Arnold and Alvera (Walter) Kowalski. Sister-in-law of Ruth Schnurr. Predeceased by her parents Harry and Cecilia (nee Moyer) Schnurr and brother Norman Schnurr. Rita was an active member of St. John’s Catholic Women’s League and K-W Granite Curling Club. She was a dedicated employee of Waterloo Regional Credit Union for over 20 years. Rita’s family will receive friends at the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. with Parish Prayers at 8:45 p.m. Morning prayers will be said on Wednesday, September 23 at 10:15 followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at St. John’s RC Church, 85 Strange St. Kitchener at 11 a.m. with Rev. Ray Reitzel and Rev. Jim Boudreau as celebrants. Friends and relatives are then invited to a reception in the Parish Hall and will be joined by the immediate family after they attend the committal service at the cemetery.
