It is with great heartache that the family of Joseph Salm announces his peaceful passing on Friday September 14, 2007 at the Westmount Nursing Home.
He was predeceased by his wife Esther (Schneider) in 2005.
He is survived by three daughters and their families, Sharon Grose (Walter) Nicholas, Rebecca, Davin & Andrew of Alma; Brenda DeMeuleneare (Gary) Cory & Sarah of Waterloo; Sheila Schneider (Brad) Benjamin, Todd & Trevor of Kitchener,
Brother of Augustine Salm (Gus) and Phyllis Seip (Roy).
Brother-in-law to Gladys and Ken Crawford and sister-in-law Rita Salm.
Brother-in-law Emerson Westfall.
Predeceased by parents Joseph Morris Salm & Monica (Winterhalt) brothers Leo, and Gerald, sisters Deloris Westfall and Wilhelmina Hohl, Angeline and Ferdinand and son Claire.
Joe retired from Seagrams in 1988 and enjoyed spending his retirement with his family and his grandchildren. He was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 530 for 55 years.
He spent his last couple of years at the Westmount Nursing Home, known there as Mr Music Man.
Joe will be missed by many nieces and nephews, and his loving family at the Westmount Nursing Home.
Visitation September 18, 2007 2-4, 7-9 Legion Service at 7 pm
Funeral Service celebrating Joes life and faith will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home September 19, 2007 at 1:30 pm in the Chapel.
