During the passing years, Edna's cookbooks remain favourites. Especially "More Food That Really Schmecks" and her infamous "Speedy Pat-in Pastry". No other crust has graced my pie plates since 1982. The more I learned of her over time it became clear that she was much more than a cookbook storyteller. I'm happy that she lived a long full life and wish her family to keep their memories strong.

Browsing through my very first and still my favourite cookbook today.. reminds of what a delight it was to read and learn to cook with the incomparable Edna Staebler. Have you ever made her Scrunchies??? They are amazing. My kids grew up with homemade bread and banana cake too.
It is still a pleasure to read her words... she had such a gift. So blessings to Edna and all her extended family. Know that she is remembered well! Lorraine

Thank you for all your cook books you have written over the years and especially, your biography, where I really got to know you and received a lot of comfort and peace through your honesty and how you were able to fine joy and peace in your later years.
