Thelma passed away, after a brief illness, at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at the age of 86.
Predeceased by her husband, Arnold Kennell in 1990. Loving mother of Gail Ueberschlag and husband Tom of Kitchener and Paul Kennell of Conestoga. Grandmother of Terri Wilde (Kevin), Tommy Ueberschlag (Lisa Schwann), Paula Wall (Peter), Craig Sawyer, and Nicholas Sawyer and great-grandmother of Hailey, Kendal, and Scarlett. Thelma will be remembered by her longtime family friend, Michelle Columbo and dear friend, Lily Weiss.
Besides her husband, Thelma was predeceased by her parents, John and Augusta (Wiermeier) Burdis and her longtime friend and companion, Harold Siderson.
Relatives and friends are invited to share memories of Thelma at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Friday, September 3 from 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday, September 4 from 10-10:45 a.m. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m., Saturday. Private family interment will follow at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo.
