Obituary of Leonidas Nibogora

<h1>Leonidas Nibogora</h1> 1968 - 2007 With his wife and friends at his side, Leonidas passed away peacefully at Grand River Hospital on October 9, 2007, at the age of 39. Beloved husband of Jocelyne Nibaruta and adored father of Precious and Ank of Waterloo, dear brother of Isidore, of Ottawa, sister-in-law Esperance and their four children, and of sister Consolate of Denmark. He is also survived by his mother and siblings in Burundi. Born in 1968 he received two university degrees and worked for the Ministry of Education before fleeing his country in 1994. Upon arriving to Canada in 2000, he married Jocelyne and started his own family as well as ‘finding his home’ teaching Grade 4 at the K-W Bilingual School. His pupils, their parents and staff at the school will miss him greatly. The family is grateful to his many friends who offered their unstinting support throughout his lengthy illness. Visitation will be held on Friday October 12, from 2 to 4, and 7 to 9 at Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home. The family service will take place at 1 pm on Saturday, October 13 at the chapel of Erb &amp; Good, with interment to follow at Parkview Cemetery. A celebration of Leonidas’ life and memorial service will be held at Westminster United Church on Monday, October 15 at 1 pm.
