<h1>Alison Postma</h1> Alison passed away at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital on Wednesday, October 8, 2008 after a brave journey with Diffuse Intrinstic Pontine Glioma (Brain Stem Cancer) Alison was born on November 13, 2002 and lived in Waterloo. She is a loving daughter of Keri and Al Postma, and sister to Nathan and Jessica. She will be forever remembered by her Nana and Papa Glen and Cheryl Wearne, Grandma and Grandpa Fred and Alice Postma, aunts, uncles and 12 cousins. Alison was a Grade 1 student at Cedarbrae Public School in Waterloo. She loved playing outside, swimming, ringette, Disney and playing with her friends, especially Cousin Lauren. Her contagious smile, constant happiness and brave spirit have taught all who know her so much. Special thanks to very close friends Rob, Lorrie, Mitchell and Danielle Harvey and John and Betty Galbraith who always provided us with whatever we needed during our crisis. We are deeply thankful to the many community organizations, businesses and individuals that dedicated their time and money in the form of fund raisers, gifts, words of support and prayers. A service to celebrate Alison’s life will be held at Creekside Church, 660 Conservation Drive, Waterloo, (www.creeksidechurch.ca) on Saturday, October 11, 2008 at 1:00 pm with a reception to follow at the church. A private family interment will follow. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Sick Kid’s Hospital Oncology Unit or the Children’s Wish Foundation.
