After a courageous battle with cancer, Mary Emerton in her 49th year went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 30, 2009.
Mary is survived by her husband and soul mate Paul Emerton of Kitchener, loving sons Michael Calder of Kitchener and David Calder of St. Thomas, mother Mrs. Margaret Berg of Gadshill, brothers Edwin Berg of Gadshill and Leslie Berg of Kitchener, sisters Evelyn Kingwell (Paul) of Hanover and Janet DeHaan (Duane) of Millbank. She will be sadly missed by nephews Brad Plume (Kirsten), Kevin Plume, Josh DeHaan and Tyler DeHaan and her mother-in-law Joan Cowles and Godfather Milton Brodhagen.
Mary is predeceased by her father Ralph Berg (2009).
Mary was a Certified General Accountant, working in financial services for the last 20 years, most recently with FaithLife Financial of Waterloo.
The family will receive friends at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S. Waterloo on Monday, November 2 from 7-9 p.m. and on Tuesday, November 3 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
The funeral will take place at Country Hills Evangelical Missionary Church, 1280 Ottawa St. S. Kitchener on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at 11 a.m. with cremation to follow. Interment of cremated remains will be at Woodland Cemetery, Kitchener.
