<h1>Norman Diemert</h1> 1922 - 2010 I have fought the good fight to the end; I have run the race to the finish; I have kept the faith. 2 Timothy 4:7-8 Norman passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2010, peacefully, after complications of pneumonia, surrounded by his family at Sunnyside Nursing Home in Kitchener, in his 89th year. Beloved husband of the late Margaret (nee Gmach) for 54 years. Loving father of Dennis (Jennifer) of Toronto, Elise King (Edward) of Hanover, Adrian (Leslie) of Kelowna, B.C., Warren (Rebecca) of Waterloo, Gerard (Sharon) of Kelowna, B.C., Sheila of Kitchener, and Alan (Maria) of West Montrose. Dearly loved and missed by his grandchildren Mary, John, Adam, Justine, Anthony, Jenelle, Joel, Maia, Ava, Hannah, Renee, Vanessa, Rebecca, Ryan, Jeremy, Paula and Jim. Survived by devoted and loving sister, Sr. Elise Diemert, of Waterdown. Lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Predeceased by his parents, Stephen and Elizabeth (Walter) Diemert, siblings Norman (in infancy), Loretta, Simon, Hilda, Arnesta, William, Joseph, Lucy, Vera, and Rita, and many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Norman was a long-time parishioner of St. Agatha Parish and gave a witness to his family of steadfastness and dedication to his faith. An avid card player, he founded St. Agatha Seniors group. He also drove seniors to and from their Florida vacation homes for many years. Norman is a veteran of the Second World War. He loved driving and utilized this skill in his employment at Silverwood Dairies, City Cabs and the Kitchener-Waterloo Record. The family will receive friends at the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Parish Prayers will be held on Wednesday at 8:45 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Agatha RC Church on Thursday, October 7, 2010 at 11 a.m. with Fr. Dan Lobsinger CR as celebrant. Interment in St. Agatha RC Cemetery.
