<h1>Grace Downs</h1> 1929 - 2009 Passed away, on Monday, October 26, 2009, after a brief illness, at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital. Cherished mother of Michael Edwards and his wife Lynn. Beloved grandmother of Natalie (Danny), Casandra, and Cory (Tracey). Grace will be sadly missed by her sister Yvonne Such, sisters-in-law Audrey Hadenko, Shirley Hancock, and Colleen Clark, and by her nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husbands Russel Edwards and William Downs, parents Ella and Alfred Schmitt and by siblings Floyd Schmitt, Ross Schmitt, and Barbara Gumpert. Friends are invited to share their memories of Grace with her family during visitation at the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, on Thursday, October 29, 2009, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday, October 30, 2009 in the chapel of the funeral home at 11 a.m. Interment at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, Erbsville. Friends are invited to join the family for a reception at the K-W Naval Association, 315 Weber St. N., Waterloo following the interment.
