<h1>Elinor Paul</h1> 1906 - 2007 Died peacefully in her sleep October 24th, 2007, in her 102nd year. Born May 8, 1906 in Winchester, Ontario, to Fred and Diana Henderson. Moved to Vancouver, B.C. at the age of five with her parents and two younger brothers, Gordon and George (all pre-deceased), where she resided until her marriage in 1934 to Russell Gibson Paul. She and Russell moved to Waterloo, Ontario and lived there from 1936 on, except for the war years when she returned to Vancouver with her infant son while Russell was overseas. (Russell pre-deceased her in 1981, having been Comptroller of the Dominion Life Assurance Company of Waterloo until his retirement in 1970.) Elinor was a homemaker; active in her church, First United,Waterloo; a member of the Waterloo LadiesÂ’ Lions Club, and of Westmount Golf and Country Club where she golfed and curled. She was an avid bridge player. In 1997, at the age of 91, she chose to move to Winston Park Retirement Home where she enjoyed participating in the many activities there. Surviving are her son Alan Russell Paul and wife Nancy of Tyler Texas; granddaughter Tara Lyann Hornecker, husband John, and their children Cade and newest arrival, Ty; grandson Kevin Russell Paul, wife Michelle, and their son Grant, all of Tyler Texas. A brief Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday November 3, 2007 at Winston Park Retirement Community Center Room (on ground floor), 695 Blockline Rd., Kitchener, Ontario. (Entrance off Westmount Rd. and Tillsley St. across from The Salvation Army Church.)
