<h1>Stewart Whitney</h1> 1932 - 2008 Passed away at the K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, Kitchener, on Thursday, October 23, 2008, at age 76. Cherished husband and best friend of Eliska. Beloved father of Stewart Whitney Jr. and his wife Lori, Karen Hatt and her husband David, and Stephen Whitney. Loving grandfather of Olivia Whitney and Samantha and Benjamin Hatt. Sadly missed by his sister, Linda Heaney and her husband Bruce and also his Aunt Lillian Russell. Also survived by the children’s mother, Pat Milburn. Predeceased by his parents, Stewart and Bertha Whitney. Stewart taught Geography within the Toronto Public School Board. He moved to Waterloo in 1965 for the Regional Office of the Ontario Ministry of Education, then worked for the Wellington County School Board, and later became Superintendant of Operations with the Waterloo County Board of Education until his retirement in 1987. Among his passions were curling, running, movies, and golf. A family service of committal to be held at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo. Friends are invited to drop in to share their memories of Stewart with his family during a celebration of a life well lived at the Grey Silo Golf Course, 2001 University Ave. East, Waterloo, on Monday, October 27, 2008 anytime between 4 &amp; 7 p.m. Condolences to the family and donations to the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre may be arranged through the funeral home, 519.745.8445 or www.erbgood.com.
