<h1>Lloyd Woods</h1> 1928 - 2006 Passed away, peacefully, at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, on October 20, 2006, at the age of 78 years. Survived by his beloved wife and life partner Shirley (nee Shera), married November 14, 1953. Loved father of Judith Needham (Tom), Eugene Woods (Colleen) and Kim Pencheff (Robert). Proud grandfather of Christopher Needham and Gregory Needham; step-grandfather of Amy Lewis and Nancy Pencheff, and grandstep-father of Jarred, Jessica and Dylon Lewis. Loving brother of Marjorie Legare, Jean Thornley, Ann Eckert,Sheila Battler (Laverne) and Gertrude Frank. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his mother and father Alice (nee Park) and Eugene Woods; sister Grace Suchatorusky; brothers Ignatius and Sandy; brothers-in-law Jules Legare, Joseph Thornby, Gerald Suchatorusky and Donald Eckert. Lloyd worked at MTD Products for 35 Years. The most pleasurable times in his life were spent watching his grandsons Chris and Greg playing hockey for the Waterloo Minor Hockey Association and more recently watching Greg saving goals for the New Hamburg Firebirds. Lloyd enjoyed spending time every summer, since 1975, at his beloved trailer located at Millers Family Camp, Miller Lake, Ontario, on the Bruce Peninsula(God’s Country), and pulling in many big ones out of Miller Lake and Georgian Bay. He will be sadly missed by the many friends he made over the years, up north as well as those he made in the winter months spent in Ocala Florida. Friends are invited to share their memories of Lloyd with his family at the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home,171 King Street South in Waterloo, on Sunday, October 22, 2006 from 7-9 p.m. Visitation will continue on Monday, October 23, 2006, from 10 a.m. to 10:45.The funeral service to celebrate Lloyd’s life will follow in the Funeral Home Chapel at 11 a.m.. with Rev. David Lewis as celebrant. Following the service, friends are invited to join the family in the Funeral Home's Fireside Reception Room for refreshments and a time to visit. Following services, to honor Lloyd’s wishes, cremation will take place. The family wishes to extend a special thank-you to the nurses in the Renal Clinic , the sixth floor surgery and the fifth floor medical units, for the exceptional care Lloyd received, the many times he spent as a patient in the K-W Heath Centre of Grand River Hospital. Thanks also to Dr Rosenstein, Dr. Pace, Dr. Mutrie and Dr. Ward and her associates, for the passionate care shown, at Freeport Health Centre during the last days of Lloyd’s life.
