Passed away at his home in Kitchener in the early hours of October 19, 2010 with family by his side. He was 73.
Don was the beloved husband for 50 years of Judy (nee Krigner). Devoted father of Deborah Ann Hall, Donna Marie Hall-Brodie (Don Brodie), Christopher Charles Hall (Kristi Hall) and Hayley Fillier (Dan Klepp). Much loved grandfather of Danielle Crosbie (Sean), Sarah Horstkott (Clinton Russell), B.J. Horstkott, Taryn Hall-Brodie (Ellington Griffith), Tawnya Brodie-Swan (Dustin Swan), Natasha Hall-Brodie (Tyler Glebe), Kassidy Hall and Carley Hall. Special thanks to our family's guardian angel, Tracy Scharback. Cherished great-grandfather of ten great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Gordon Hall and Frank Hall and sisters, Eileen Gee (Doug), Joyce Berry (Lawrence), and Barb Startz (John). Don will be lovingly remembered by many special friends of the family.
Predeceased by his sister, Helen Wilkins and sister-in-law, Mary Hall.
D.R.Hall, a Canadian Artist, beloved husband, loving father and adored grandfather. His love for his family was like no other, but what came as a very close second to this was his love for art.
D.R. Hall has had an oustanding career in Fine Arts. He was named "The most promising artist to date" in an article that was written half a century ago in a local paper.
His paintings are a part of many homes around the world including countless dignitaries. He has also made numerous donations to various organizations and charities throughout his memorable career.

A great loss to all, he will be truly missed.
"Wheat fields starting to turn golden yellow, sky clearing after a warm summer rain, sun rays falling on the distant fields, shadows running across landscapes".
The family also wishes to extend thanks to nurses and porters on the 5th Floor, D Wing South of Grand River Hospital for the care and attention shown to Don during his stay. A very special thank-you to Pastor Nancy of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, we are very blessed to have her as part of our inner circle.
In keeping with Dons wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service was held at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo .
