<h1>Georg Wolf</h1> 1931 – 2006 Georg passed away, peacefully, surrounded by family, at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, on Thursday, October 19, 2006, at the age of 75. Beloved husband of Lore (Braun) for 51 years. Proud father of Bernd and Mandy Wolf of Turks and Caicos Islands, Marita and Mark Smith of Kitchener, Michael and Marie Wolf of Waterloo, Claudia and Kevin Weeden of New Hamburg, Annette and John Does of Plattsville, and Sandra and Phillip Skradski of Waterloo. Georg was the loving Opa to his 13 grandchildren, Alexander, Katrina and Oliver Wolf; Corey Smith; Christina and Connor Wolf; Amanda, Jessica and Fiona Weeden; Samantha and Olivia Does; Bennett and Matthew Skradski. Lovingly remembered by his brother and sisters in Germany, Malwine Trumm, Hilde Hoelzber, Anna Knoegel and Gerhard Wolf; brothers-in-law, Horst Braun (Brigitte), Carl Braun (Kathy) and sister-in-law Eleonore Bailey. Sadly missed by many dear friends. Predeceased by his parents, Gottlieb and Bertha Wolf in 1945, brothers Gottlieb, Karl and Emil and grandson Trevor Georg Smith in infancy. Georg was born in Lichtenthal, Romania on February 2, 1931. He and his siblings moved to Germany in 1946. In 1952, Georg immigrated to Saskatchewan. In 1953, he came to Kitchener where he met Lore Braun. They married on December 11, 1954 and had a busy life raising six children. After working in construction for many years, he fulfilled his dream of returning to farming. He had a successful poultry farm and affectionately became known as “Chicken Georg”. For the past two years, Georg and Lore made new friends at Waterpark Place in Waterloo. Georg enjoyed the membership of Concordia Club and the Transylvania Skat Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, card playing and lots of socializing. He is especially remembered for his avid storytelling, wealth of knowledge and abundance of advice. Friends are invited to share their memories of Georg during visitation at the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Monday, October 23 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Georg’s life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, October 24, 2006 at 9:30 a.m. Immediately following, interment at Woodland Cemetery, Kitchener. A luncheon will follow the interment at the funeral home.
