<h1>Selma Szmunk</h1> 1924 - 2006 Passed away, suddenly on Tuesday, October 17, 2006 at the age of 82 years. Beloved wife of the late Fred Szmunk (1994). Loving aunt of Harry and Mary-Lou Falkenstern of Waterloo; great aunt of Richard and Karen Falkenstern, and Michael and Elizabeth Falkenstern both of Kitchener; great-great aunt of Matthew, Taylor, Joshua and James. Dear sister of Alfred, Heinrich, and Ernst Ruppert and their families of Germany. Predeceased by her husband Fred; parents Jacob and Ida Ruppert and sister Emilie Falkenstern (2005). Selma was a member of St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church, Elmira, and the Schwaben Club. An avid gardener and sewer she loved her gardens and creating items for “Project Linus”. In her earlier years she enjoyed square dancing and bowling and continued to enjoy her daily walks. Friends are invited to share their memories of Selma with her family at the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home 171 King Street South in Waterloo on Friday, October 20, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday, October 21, 2006 from 10 – 10:45 a.m. The funeral service to celebrate Selma’s life will follow in the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. with Rev. Hans Borche officiating. Following the service, friends are invited to join the family in the funeral home’s Fireside Reception Room for refreshments and a time to visit.
