<h1>Lorraine McDonald</h1> (nee Scott) 1912 – 2010 Following a miraculous recovery from hip surgery in August, Lorraine passed away from age-related circumstances on Thursday, October 14, 2010 at Parkwood Mennonite Home in Waterloo at the age of 98. Born in 1912, she was the eldest daughter of Robert P. and Annie (nee Grant) Scott of Culross Township. She attended school at S.S. No. 7, 8th Concession Culross Township, Teeswater Continuation school and graduated, as a teacher, from Stratford Normal School. She taught at S.S. No. 3 Brant Township, Maple Hill school in the early 1930’s. In 1938, she married Alexander Milby McDonald, who died in March, 1990. Her brother Arnold Scott died in April, 1990 and her sister Margaret Brown died in 2009. Lorraine is survived by daughters, Beverley Thiel and husband Carl of Waterloo and Pennie Wright and husband Robert of Parksville, Vancouver Island. Relatives and friends are invited to share memories of Lorraine during visitation at the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Saturday, October 16 from 3 – 6 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Sunday, October 17, 2010 at 3 p.m. Immediately following the service, everyone is invited to a reception in the funeral home’s Fireside Reception Room. Private family interment at Culross and Teeswater Cemetery at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the C.N.I.B.
