<h1>Elli Riecke</h1> 1924 – 2009 Passed away at St. Mary’s Hospital, Kitchener, on Tuesday, October13, 2009, at the age of 85 years. Much loved sister of Hildegard Schlegel and Sigfrid Stienke and his wife Lena and grandmother of Melissa Paterson and Dwayne Downey. Sadly missed by her nieces Mary Ann Wonjon and fiancé Peter Motta; nephew Charlie Schlegel and his wife Susan and their children Thomas and Samantha Predeceased by her parents Wilhelm and Ella Stienke; her husband Karl; her son Joachim as well as her brother Hans Lemke and niece Irene Pisani. Elli loved spending time with her friends at the Waterloo Adult Rec. Centre, and loved sharing her gifts of baking and the enjoyment she found in her flowers. Friends are invited to share their memories of Elli with her family during visitation at the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, on Friday October 16, 2009, from 1-2 pm followed by a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 2 pm. The Rev. Paul Hartig officiating. Interment at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo. Following the burial everyone is invited to a reception in the Fireside Reception Room of the Funeral Home Condolences for the family and donations to the St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation may be arranged through the funeral home at www.erbgood.com or 519.745.8445.
