<h1>Reta Bechtel</h1> 1917 – 2008 Passed away at Heritage House in St. Jacobs on Sunday, October 12, 2008 at the age of 91 years. Dear sister of Ruth Gentle of Kitchener and Clarene Martin of Waterloo. Lovingly remembered by her nieces Audrey Shaw, Donna Shaw, Heather Ogram and nephews Greg Gentle and Darrel Martin. Great-aunt of Wade, Erica, Lindsay, Dylan and Jeffery. Predeceased by brothers Willis Bechtel and his wife Marilyn, Clare Bechtel and brothers-in-law Howard Martin and Derek Gentle. Reta retired from St. Mary’s General Hospital where she worked in the Dietary Department for 25 years. Reta was also well known for her specialty coffee cakes. She was a member of First Mennonite Church in Kitchener. Visitation will be held at the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo today (Wednesday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place in the chapel of the funeral home on Thursday, October 16, 2008 at 2 p.m. Reception to follow the service. Interment in Mannheim Mennonite Cemetery. In living memory of Reta a donation will be made to the Trees for Learning Program by the funeral home.
