Peacefully slipped away surrounded by her family at Fairview Mennonite Home, Cambridge, on Saturday, October 10, 2009 at the age of 93 years
Edith was predeceased by her husband Lloyd (1979). She is survived and dearly remembered by her children Mary Ann Ropp (Norm) and Robert Woolner (Dale); grandchildren Darren Ropp (Misty), Andrew Woolner (Kumiko) and Emily Lalonde (Jeremy) as well as her great-grandson Ephraim LaLonde. Edith is also remembered by many nieces and nephews of whom she was very fond.
Edith was the last remaining member of the Isaiah Cressman and Magdalena Shirk Family.
Honoring Ediths personal wishes there will be no visitation. Interment will take place at First Mennonite Cemetery, Kitchener, on Friday, October 16 at 11 a.m. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at Fairview Mennonite Home, 515 Langs Drive, Cambridge, on Saturday, October 17 at 11 a.m.
