<h1>Violet Manske</h1> 1916 – 2008 Passed away at Forest Heights Long Term Care Centre in Kitchener on Friday, October 10, 2008 at the age of 92 years. Loving wife of Irvine Manske for 68 years. Devoted mother of Carol Lehman (Bill) of Manitoba, Terry Manske (Jewel), James Manske (Jane) and Stephen Manske (Pat). Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren David, Tim and Mark, Teresa, Micheline and Michael, Carrie and Shawn, and Sarah and Lauren. Great-grandmother of Chelsey, Rachelle, Cameron, Noah, Aaron, Taryn, Chloe and Julian. Also survived by her sister Barb Cook (Walter) and brother Clifford Witmer (Doris). Predeceased by her parents Edmund Witmer and Lavina (nee Hallman), her son Charles, brothers Lloyd in infancy, Raymond, Wilfrid and Leonard, as well as her sisters Beulah Schneider, Flossie Geiger and Ethel Weber. Violet was a long time and active member of Stirling Avenue Mennonite Church. She enjoyed cooking and entertaining family and friends, quilting and cooking at church camps and schools. A private family interment will take place at Parkview Cemetery in Waterloo. The public memorial service to celebrate her life and faith will be held at Stirling Avenue Mennonite Church, 57 Stirling Ave. N., Kitchener on Saturday, November 1, 2008 at 2 p.m. Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the service. Reception to follow in the church hall.
