1944 - 2007
It is with great sadness and deep sorrow that we announce the Line of Duty Death of Kitchener Fire Fighter, Captain Jim Rebbeck, a 35 year member of the Kitchener Professional Fire Fighters Association. Captain Rebbeck succumbed Wednesday, October 10th, 2007 after a courageous battle with acute myeloid leukemia, which he developed as a result of his fire fighting career.
Dear husband and best friend to Brenda Carolyn Rebbeck (nee Litwiller).
Loving father of Heather Mitchell and Brad Courtney of Windsor, Duane and Chris Rebbeck of Kitchener and Todd Rebbeck of Cambridge. Brother of June (Jim) Black of Milton and Marilyn (Don) Walton of Cambridge.
Predeceased by his parents William and Beatrice Rebbeck and Brian Mitchell.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Jim with his family during visitation at the Erb and Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Sunday, October 14, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place 2 p.m Monday, October 15, 2007 at First Baptist Church, 306 Erb St. W., Waterloo. Cremation will follow.
