<h1>Kenneth Klaehn</h1> 1946 – 2007 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ken on November 8, 2007 after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 61. Ken the only child of the late Harold H. Klaehn, (1915 – 1963) and Geraldine M. Klaehn (Bowman), (1918 – 2004), was born in Kitchener on January 23, 1946. Ken was a member of St. Louis R.C. Church in Waterloo. Ken worked for 32 years with the City of Waterloo Works Dept., with many of those driving the Zambonie at the local rinks, a job he loved so much, always talking about it and the many friends he made. Ken also coached minor baseball for 10 years in the early 70’s winning three Ontario Championships. Ken was also a 25 year member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 530, Waterloo. Honoring Ken’s requests and final wishes there will be no visitation or service. Interment will take place at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo where he will be laid to rest beside his mother. Also, Ken’s good friends Doug and Rick as well as his cousin Ruthann for all their help, kindness and love during Ken’s illness. Finally after all these years Ken will have his long awaited reunion with his mom and dad and dog Patty. In living memory of Ken, a tree will be planted through the Trees for Learning Program by the funeral home.
