<h1>Ruth Brien</h1> (née Savage) Peacefully at the Court at Laurelwood, Waterloo, on Thursday, November 5, 2009. Adored wife for 67 years of Wilbert P. Brien of Waterloo. Much loved mother of James (Linda) of Kingston, Robert (Lesley) of Waterloo, and William (Beth) of Toronto. Remembered with deep affection by her grandchildren, Susan (Matt), Sara (James), Todd, and Cameron. Proud and loving great-grandmother to Charles, Felix, Anna Ruth, and Cecilia. Fondly remembered by her sister-in-law Jane Bateman, niece Margaret (Joseph) Wojtowicz, nephew Clark Cooper, and numerous grandnieces and grandnephews. Born September 15, 1918, and raised in Windsor, Ontario. Graduate of Grace Hospital School of Nursing, 1941, and private duty nurse. Well loved by everyone for her joy in life, her warmth, her tact, her generosity and support, and her ability to laugh and make the most of any situation. The family thanks her friends and the staff at the Court at Laurelwood for their friendship over the past two years. Thank you also to Dr. Blaine Cruikshank and his staff for compassionate and generous care, and to Deacon Robert Sicard for his friendship and support. A private family service was held in Waterloo.
