Passed away peacefully, after a courageous battle, on Wednesday, November 5, 2008, at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital.
Cherished husband of Lotte for 52 years. Much loved father of Christian (Cynthia) Holznagel and Veronica (Paul) Schambers. Dear Opa of Adam Schambers, and Claire and Colin Holznagel.
Predeceased by his sister Ursula Hersemann.
Born and married in Germany, and after working as a Police Officer, he and Lotte immigrated to Canada in 1957. Heinz worked for E. E. Seegmiller Construction and subsequently worked for Uniroyal until his retirement in 1992.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Heinz with his family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street S., Waterloo, on Friday November 7, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 8, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. Cremation to follow.
