<h1>Betty Hangartner</h1> 1926 – 2009 Died peacefully at the Village of Winston Park, Kitchener on Tuesday, November 3, 2009, at age 83. Before retirement, Betty was employed at Wilfrid Laurier University and K-W Hospital Pediatric Unit. Beloved wife of the late John Hangartner; loving mother of Bonnie (Ron) Habermehl, Shirley Sykes, Linda (Doug) Straus, John (Marg) Hangartner, Debra (Steve) Foerster, Barbara (Jon) Conrad, Daryl (John) Prince, and Michael (Rachelle) Hangartner; loved grandmother of 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; dear sister of Helen (Don) Read, Ted (Barb) Stevens, and Dennis. She will also be greatly missed by cousins, Bill and Don Swindall and their families, and sister-in-law, Ethel (Ralph) Bott. Predeceased by her parents, Ina (Loveday) and Frank Swindall, a sister, Mary Lou, twin daughters in infancy, Joan and Louise, and a son-in-law, Doug Straus. Friends are invited to share their memories of Betty with her family during visitation at the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, November 6, 2009 at 10 a.m. with Mike Chow officiating. A reception will immediately follow in the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home.
