Walter was called home to be with the Lord, on Friday, November 28, 2008, at age 93.
Walter was an active and involved member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Petersburg, and a retiree of J. M. Schneiders.
Beloved husband of Irene (Horst) for 70 years; loved father of Audrey Cook, Bill and Catherine Knipfel and Tom and Joan Knipfel; loving grandfather of Perian, Pam, Krista, Dean, Ryan, Adam, Andrew, Paulet, Mike, Cathy, and Jennifer, and nine great-granchildren; dear brother of Howard and Marg, and Fred and Erika; brother-in-law of Betty and Dorothy.
Predeceased by brothers, Harold, Alfred, and John (Dorothy and Evelyn), and a son-in-law, Walter Cook.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Walter with his family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Richard Orlowski officiating. A reception will immediately follow in the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home. Interment in Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Petersburg.
