<h1>Walter Knipfel</h1> 1915 – 2008 Walter was called home to be with the Lord, on Friday, November 28, 2008, at age 93. Walter was an active and involved member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Petersburg, and a retiree of J. M. Schneiders. Beloved husband of Irene (Horst) for 70 years; loved father of Audrey Cook, Bill and Catherine Knipfel and Tom and Joan Knipfel; loving grandfather of Perian, Pam, Krista, Dean, Ryan, Adam, Andrew, Paulet, Mike, Cathy, and Jennifer, and nine great-granchildren; dear brother of Howard and Marg, and Fred and Erika; brother-in-law of Betty and Dorothy. Predeceased by brothers, Harold, Alfred, and John (Dorothy and Evelyn), and a son-in-law, Walter Cook. Friends are invited to share their memories of Walter with his family during visitation at the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Richard Orlowski officiating. A reception will immediately follow in the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home. Interment in Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Petersburg. The family wish to extend a special thank you to the caring staff of Lanark Heights Long Term Care Centre for the tender and compassionate care that was given to Walter.
