Passed away on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at the K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, age 83 years.
Loving husband of the late Elizabeth (Betty) Pallas.
George retired from Sears after a lengthy career.
Dear father of Judy Baker and her husband Alan of Memphis, Tennessee, Sue Pallas and her partner Cynthia of Kitchener. Will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Michael Baker and his wife Sandra of Oakville, Jeffrey Baker and his partner Van Yanez of Toronto; great grandchildren Thomas and Anna. Also survived by sisters Doreen Scott and Winnifred Pallas both of Kitchener; sister-in-law Violet Pallas of Kitchener and brother-in-law Fred Cummings of Waterloo.
Predeceased by sisters Dora Pallas and Jean Cummings; brother Joseph Pallas and a brother-in-law Stan Scott.
At Georges request, cremation has taken place. Friends and relatives are invited to share their memories of George during memorial visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Thursday, November 26, 2009 from 7-9 p.m. and on Friday, November 27 from 1p.m. until 2p.m. The memorial service to celebrate his life will take place at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. Following the service a reception will take place in the Fireside Reception Room. A private family interment will be held at Parkview Cemetery.
