<h1>James Dillon</h1> It is with the greatest sorrow we announce that Jim Dillon has completed his journey in this life on November 2nd, 2010 in his 56th year. Adored husband and greatest love, best friend and partner of Pam for 36 years. Beloved Father of Jeff Dillon, Jessica Van Wyck (Scott) and Sarah Dillon (Sasha Ormond), Papa to his "Grands" Madison, Samuel, Lauren, Maxwell and Noah. Survived by his mother Joanne, siblings and their partners Sister Pamela of Jesus, Janet Galberg (Flemming), Mary Delion (Bruce), brother Jon Dillon, as well as his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his father Neil Dillon. Previous owner of Basics Office Products. Successful entrepreneur, brilliant builder, master gardener, intrepid traveller, life long partner - forever friend, charismatic father, joyous and devoted grandfather. Jim’s greatest gift was his ability to see the good in everyone and to encourage and support those he loved and cared for. When asked how he wished to be remembered Jim said, "For the most important thing in my life - the great love I had for my family". The family wishes to thank the Team Six nurses - most especially palliative care nurse Agnes Bos for her optimism and friendship. Thanks also to Jennifer, Laura, Leaa. To Jim’s health care team Dr. Fielder, oncologist Dr. Knight, radiologist Dr. Panjwani and the pain and symptom physician Dr. Moolman, Dr. Jakdta and Martha Karn, Spiritual support John Lougheed, Maureen Keller ScWk. The radiation team, oncology nurses and chemotherapy support staff at Grand River Cancer Centre. Kim Helm neuropysiotherapist, Steph Forte RMT, Doug Pike and Salome Weber. Thank you for the outpouring of support to the Dillon family. Friends are invited to share in a celebration of Jim’s life during visitation at the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Friday, November 5, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A service to remember and honor Jim’s life will be held at First United Church, 16 William Street West, Waterloo on Saturday, November 6 at 1:00pm. A reception will follow at the church. Cremation and interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations be made in Jim’s memory to the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre and the Canadian Brain Tumour Foundation.
