<h1>Jack Koehler</h1> JACK EDGAR KOEHLER 1920 - 2006 Passed away, on Sunday November 19, 2006 at the age of 86 years. Predeceased by his parents Edwin Koehler (1967) and Alice (nee Miller) (1975). An avid baseball and hockey player and fan in his youth Jack went on to serve his country with the Highland Light Infantry and was wounded in Normandy in 1944. After the war Jack began a 30 year career with Waterloo Trust, which later became Canada Trust. His love of sports at this time won him several awards and trophies for badminton and tennis. Jack was a life member of the Athletic Association of K-W, associate of the Granite Club where he was a past president of the badminton club. Upon retirement Jack served as president of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 50, Kitchener, and later as a life member. In his later years he enjoyed his success at the bridge table with his friends. Honoring Jack’s personal requests, cremation has taken place and there will be no visiting or service. Interment will occur at Memory Gardens, Breaslau.
