Obituary of Kathryn Quinn

Kathryn Quinn
(nee Ross) 1963-2008 After a battle with breast cancer, filled with hope, Kathryn was healed as she entered the arms of our Lord Jesus Christ. Beloved wife of Dwayne and loving and devoted mother to Janelle, Krista, Lauryn and Madision; daughter to Janice Ross of Brantford and Fraser Ross of Cambridge and step-daughter to Judy Ross, also of Cambridge; sister to Kelly Pulham and her husband Greg of Brantford and Nancy Ross of Quincy, Massachusetts; daughter-in-law to Bob and Josie Quinn of Renfrew and sister-in-law to Debbie Quinn of Leduc, Alberta, Stephen Quinn and his friend Susan of Ottawa, Jamie Quinn and his wife Lisa of Kingston and Todd Quinn and his wife Debbie. Kathy completed her degree in Psychology at the University of Waterloo and worked for 15 years for Union Gas primarily in Waterloo. After the birth of her twins, Kathy chose to stay home and devote herself to her family. Kathy’s life was a testament to God’s enduring gift of love to us. Her release into His presence is part of His glorious plan that we may live with Him because of what Jesus did for us. Kathy’s gift of love touched many lives and (particularly) marriages as she and Dwayne served in marriage ministry including Mennonite and Brethren Marriage Encounter. Kathy’s family would like to thank the staff at the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre, the Oncology suite of Grand River Hospital, Dr. Ward of Freeport Hospital and the staff and volunteers at Lisaard House, as many contributed to Kathy’s care in the past 18 months. The family would also like to thank the loving community of Waterloo Mennonite Brethren Church that supported us through this challenging time with practical needs and prayer. Friends are invited to share their memories of Kathy with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, on Friday, November 21st from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A celebration of Kathy’s life and faith will be held at Waterloo Mennonite Brethren Church, 245 Lexington Road, Waterloo on Saturday, November 22nd at 2 p.m. with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Lisaard House or the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated and may be arranged by contacting the funeral home at 519.745.8445 or www.erbgood.com.
