Margaret Potwarka, age 81, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2009 at University Hospital in London, Ontario, with her family at her side.
Margaret was born on October 5, 1928 in Waterloo, Ontario. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Potwarka, and her eldest son, Joe Potwarka Jr.
Loving mother of Jo-Ann Thompson (Terry), Jan Stuart, Jeff (Heather), Julie York (Robert), John (Carolyn Wilson), and daughter-in-law Tanis. Proud grandmother of Julie, Jennifer and Jim, Jessie, Joel, and Jill, Joey, Jenny, and Billy, Owen and, Charles, Harry, Adam and Emily, and Abby. Dear great-grandmother of Justin, Grayden, and Travis, and Callum.
She will be sadly missed by her dear friend Mel Helm.
Also survived by her sister Catherine. Predeceased by siblings, Gordon, Adelle, Kenneth, and Eugene, and a grandson, Trevor.
Margaret was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church and CWL.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Margaret with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, on Friday, November 20, 2009, from 6-9 p.m. Parish Prayers will be held at 8:45 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church, 173 Lourdes St. W., Waterloo on Saturday, November 21, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Edward Sheridan as Celebrant.
Interment at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo.
