Kathleen passed away, peacefully, at Parkwood Mennonite Home, Waterloo, on Monday, November 17, 2008, at age 87.
Beloved wife of Stewart Wolfe who predeceased her October, 2008. Loving mother of Pamela Widmeyer and her husband Gary of Inverness, Cape Breton, James Wolfe and his wife Janet of Queensville, and Doug Wolfe and his wife Connie of Waterloo. Cherished grandmother of Stephen Widmeyer of Dartmouth, Sarah Reynolds of Houston, Karla Widmeyer of Halifax, Jessica Wolfe of Barrie, Natalie and Allison Wolfe of Toronto, Stephanie Wolfe of Queensville, Laura and Jordan Wolfe of Waterloo and Wesley Wolfe of Toronto. Proud great-grandmother of Noah, Eva and Sophia Widmeyer and Zachary Reynolds. Sadly missed by her sister-in-law Margaret Bitcon and husband Harold of Sacramento and sister-in-law Mary Heipel of Stratford.
Predeceased by her father, Wes; mother, Jemima; brother, Lloyd Heipel; and sister-in-law, Grace Schlegel and her husband Elmer.
Kathleen met her husband of 63 years when she was a teenager in Heidelberg, Ont. Upon Stewarts return from service overseas, they were married in Waterloo in 1945. Kathleen owned and operated K. Wolfe Real Estate from 1963 to 1990. She was an active member of Bridgeport United Church and the Beta Sigma Phi. Kathleen had a real passion for her grandchildren and enjoyed time at her cottage at Chesley Lake Camp.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Kathleen with her family at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Thursday, November 20, 2008 from 7-9 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Kathleens life and faith will take place at the Bridgeport United Church, 40 Bridge Street W., Kitchener on Friday, November 21, 2008 at 11 a.m. with Rev Heidi Sievert officiating. Following the service, all are invited to attend a reception in the church hall. Interment at Calvary United Church Cemetery, St Jacobs to follow.
