<h1>Eileen Schweitzer</h1> EILEEN SCHWEITZER (nee: Schildroth) 1918 – 2007 ADD PHOTO Passed away peacefully at Sunnyside Home on Thursday, November 15, 2007 in her 90th year. She was born on August 10, 1918 on a farm outside of New Hamburg to William and Alberta Schildroth (Hesse) and had many fond memories of going to public school and Sunday school in New Hamburg. Her family later moved to Kitchener where she eventually worked at Smiles’ n Chuckles. Eileen married Lorne Schweitzer in 1940 (predeceased March 25, 1982) and has two daughters, Paula (Bruce) Scheifele and Wendy Payne. She always put others first in her life and was always there to help anyone who needed her. She is especially remembered with great affection by her three grandsons, Steven, Scott, and Mark Scheifele with whom she developed a wonderful rapport. She will also be missed by her adopted daughter Joy Becker, her brother Donald and his wife Collette of Vancouver, sister-in-law Mae Schildroth and great grandchildren Brooke and Eric (Charlotte Bruder), Jacob, Sarah and Joseph (Stephanie Wunder) and Ella, Jack and Tessa (Kelly Schroeder). Predeceased by her sister Winnifred Kropp (Powell/Schildroth) and her brother Lester Schildroth. She was a member of Zion United Church and for many years a volunteer with the Grand River Hospital follow-up Cancer Clinic and the Red Cross Blood Donor Clinic. She also worked at the Nurses Residence of K-W Hospital as receptionist and house mother for the nurses. The family wishes to thank Judy and the wonderful staff of Castle Kilbride at Sunnyside Home where she received the very best care for the past five years. Friends are invited to share their memories of Eileen with her family during visitation at the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, on Sunday, November 18, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Monday, November 19 at 2:00 pm with Rene Alexander, Chaplain of Sunnyside Home officiating, followed by a reception in the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home. Cremation will follow and a private family interment will take place in Mount Hope Cemetery, Waterloo.
