<h1>Spencer Smith</h1> Spencer passed away on Friday, November 12, 2010. He was a resident of Highland Place Retirement Home in Kitchener. Born February 17, 1931 in East Village, Nova Scotia, son of the late Joseph and Bertha (nee Ross) Smith. Beloved husband of the late Jeanne Smith (nee Verdon) and also predeceased by his sister, Dorothy Hicks and brother-in-law Lester. Survived by his sister Jean Adams (Cox) and husband Bill, niece Linda Sill (Cox) and husband Richard, and nephew Frank Cox. Great-uncle Spencer to Amy, Nathan, Melissa, Hailey, and Danika Sill, and Jessie and Emily Cox. Fondly remembered by sister-in-law Rosa Legault and husband Lionel, God child Jeffery, mother-in-law Lilly Verdon, sister-in-law Jeannette Rittinger, brothers-in-law Jean-Guy Verdon (Henriette, deceased) and Richard Verdon (Sandy). Spencer was a veteran of the Korean War and a retired custodian with the Waterloo Region Separate School Board. Relatives and friends are invited to share memories of Spencer at the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Sunday, November 14 from 2-5 p.m. A memorial service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday, November 15, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. A reception will follow in the funeral home’s Fireside Reception Room. Interment at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo.
