Phyllis died after a lengthy illness at Parkwood Mennonite Home in Waterloo.
Beloved wife for 53 years of Dr. Fred Uffelmann of Waterloo. Loving mother of Maris (Dean Connor) of Toronto, Jim (Lise) of Cochrane, Alberta and Sarah (Irvan Yee) of Barrie. Gammie to Alastair, Liam and Reegan Connor and Elliott and Ruby Yee. Also survived by a brother-in-law Warren May of Exeter, Ontario and sisters-in-law Alice Anderson and Susie Anderson.
Predeceased by her parents, C.A. and Muriel Anderson and five siblings.
Phyllis was born in Burnt Church, New Brunswick and left her home province to join the Navy as a W.R.E.N. She became a Registered Nurse at Jeffery Hale Hospital in Quebec City and later worked in Toronto, London, New Haven, Ct. and Regina, Sask. Phyllis and Fred permanently settled in Waterloo in 1957.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service to celebrate Phyllis life will be held in the chapel of the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Friday, December 1, 2006 at 1:00 pm. A reception will follow at the funeral home.
