Obituary of Derrick Epps

<h1>Derrick Epps</h1> Passed away suddenly, at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, on Thursday, November 1, 2007, at the age of 85. Derrick was born in Chilham, Kent, United Kingdom on April 8, 1922. He served as Warrant Officer in the Royal Air Force and following emigration to Canada in 1949 he became a member of the Sarnia, and later the Waterloo, Royal Canadian Legions. He was a member of the Brick Allied Craft Union of Canada, Local 23 for over 50 years, serving several terms as Secretary and Treasurer. Derrick is survived by his beloved wife Sadie, children Kenneth Epps, Douglas Epps, and Elaine Epps (John Regan), and grandchildren, Graeme and Liam Epps, Bronwyn Clement, Keane Scheffel, and Ailish and Calum Regan. He is also survived by his brothers Gerald (Eileen) Epps, Nigel (Brenda) Epps, and sisters Valerie Exley and Kay Rustrick. He was predeceased by his brothers Philip and Peter Epps and sister Hazel Scharf. Friends are invited to share their memories of Derrick with his family during visitation at the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, on Sunday, November 4, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Cremation will follow and interment will take place in England at a later date.
