Eileen Eva Elizabeth (nee Klinck) passed away at St. Marys General Hospital on Thursday, May 29, 2008, at the age of 91.
Born January 30, 1917 in Elmira, the only daughter of Arthur and Salome (Huehnergard) Klinck. Eileen married Walter Bruder in 1938, celebrating their 67th anniversary prior to Walters death in 2006. Together they owned and operated Bruders Wool Shop in Kitchener for 25 years. Eileen was a charter member of St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Kitchener where she enjoyed the quilting group, the ELW, and the card group. Cottage life on Georgian Bay with family was also very important.
Eileen is lovingly remembered by her brother Leonard Klinck and his wife Myrtle of Milton, three daughters Carol and her husband Vern Allemang of Elmira, Marlene Maguire of Kitchener, and Chris and her husband Keith Weston of Duntroon. She will be sadly missed by all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, Eileen was predeceased by her sons-in-law Dwight Snider (1989) and Buddy Maguire (2005).
Friends and family are invited to share their memories during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, on Sunday, June 1, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A memorial service to celebrate Eileens life and faith will be held at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, 248 Highland Rd. E., Kitchener, on Monday, June 2, 2008 at 11:30 am with Rev. Bill Shafer and Rev. Katherine Altenburg officiating. A reception will be held following the service at the church. A private family interment will have taken place at Woodland Cemetery.
